General guild mechanics and structure

Guild Wars becomes available after you’ve conquered Forest 14, opening up a whole new dimension to your Smutstone experience. You can join an existing guild or create your own for 250 gems. Guild names are completely case sensitive and can include both letters and digits to create your perfect team identity.

If you’re the Guild Master, you’ve got the power to remove any member whenever needed. Members can leave anytime, but there’s a catch – you’ll lose all those juicy Guild Shop bonuses and face a 24-hour cooldown before rejoining the same guild. The member list shows everyone’s power and last login date, initially sorted by most recent activity.

The Guild Wars structure follows a clear hierarchy:

  • Seasons last 28 days (7 Wars + 7 days between Wars)
  • Wars run for 3 days (9 Rounds)
  • Rounds take 8 hours (3 Phases)

Each round breaks down into three crucial phases: a 7-hour Main Phase where you add troops and see Neutral enemies’ power, a 45-minute Preparation Phase where all enemy powers are revealed, and a 15-minute Battle Phase when the round resolves itself. During the battle phase, no actions can be taken – this is when all your planning either pays off or falls short.

The plague is one of the most dramatic elements in Guild Wars. It strikes at the end of the 3rd and 6th rounds, mercilessly killing 50% of troops in every cell. Only Marauders stand immune to this devastation, making them strategically valuable when planning your long-term war efforts.

Guild shop and medals system

Medals (sometimes called Griffin currency or battle points) are the lifeblood of Guild Wars. You’ll earn them through active participation or by purchasing medal packs with gems. The shop offers various packs, with the 400 medals for 115 gems pack offering the best value at 3.48 medals per gem. When you purchase medals with real money, up to 50% bonus gets shared among guild members – talk about team spirit!

The Guild Shop features items across 5 progressive stages, each requiring medals to purchase and upgrade:

Stage Item Type Cost Range (per star) Effect
1 Element Weapons 3000-7500 medals Increases specific element Troop Power
2 Battle Banner 4000-8500 medals Boosts Troop Power on placed cell
3 Elemental Runes 5000-9500 medals Increases element bonuses in various modes
4 Lucky Casket 6000-10500 medals Reduces PVP chest opening time
5 Elemental Elixirs 7000-11500 medals Provides Attack and Health bonuses

To unlock higher star levels, you must have purchased the same star level on all items in previous stages. All Guild Shop purchases reset at season end, so spend wisely. Every medal spent contributes to your guild’s standing, creating a virtuous cycle of investment and reward.

Battlefield tactics and elemental advantages

The battlefield is where strategy comes alive. Guild members assign troops to the map to defend territories or capture new cells. Once assigned, troops remain in place until the War ends after 9 rounds. Guilds earn battle points by owning cells, determining both War winners and monthly rankings.

Elemental towers give a 1.5x attack multiplier to cards of the same color. This multiplier can be further increased by purchasing runes from the Guild Shop. When deploying cards, sending them as complete sets provides massive advantages:

  1. Small set: 5% bonus
  2. Medium set: 10% bonus
  3. Large set: 25% bonus
  4. Complete set: 75% bonus (always aim for this!)

Guild Masters have the special ability to place the guild’s battle banner on one square per round, signaling to members where to focus efforts. If your guild has purchased the Battle Banner upgrade from the Guild Store, troop power on that square increases by 10%, 15%, or 20% depending on your upgrade level. This strategic placement can turn the tide in closely contested battles.

The value of cells varies dramatically across the battlefield. High-value cells provide 1920 attack points and 480 defense points, while low-value cells offer just 240 attack points and 60 defense points. Prioritizing your troop placement on high-value cells will maximize your guild’s point accumulation.

Rewards and top guild benefits

After each War, members of the top three guilds receive medals for the Guild Shop. But the real prizes come at season’s end when the top 50 guilds are showered with goodies. The rewards scale dramatically based on your ranking, with top guilds receiving duplicates of the coveted Elven Queen (an Arcane card) plus substantial battle points.

Gold tier (ranks 1-3) guilds receive 15 Elven Queen duplicates plus 12,500 battle points per member, totaling an impressive 100,000 points. Silver tier (ranks 4-20) gets 10 duplicates and 7,500 points, while Bronze tier (ranks 21-50) receives 5 duplicates and 3,750 points.

Arcane cards like Elven Queen require 15 duplicates per star level, meaning you’ll need 135 duplicates to reach the maximum 10 stars. Once you’ve maxed out Elven Queen, an exciting new card called “Blade of Sunrise” becomes available – giving top guilds perpetual goals to chase.

The competition is fierce, but with solid understanding of these mechanics and coordinated teamwork, your guild can climb the rankings and claim these exceptional rewards. Will your guild rise to the challenge?
